Thank you for your interest in the U.S. Service Academies. As your 3rd District Representative in the U.S. House of Representatives, each year I have the privilege of nominating a limited number of people to four of the five service academies. The honor of attending a service academy comes with an obligation and commitment to serve in the military for a minimum of five years upon graduation.
Members of Congress may nominate candidates for appointment to four of the five U.S. service academies:
- U.S. Military Academy (USMA), West Point, New York
- U.S. Naval Academy (USNA), Annapolis, Maryland
- U.S. Air Force Academy (USAFA), Colorado Springs, Colorado
- U.S. Merchant Marine Academy (USMMA), Kings Point, New York
The fifth service academy, the U.S. Coast Guard Academy (USCGA), New London, Connecticut, does not require a congressional nomination for appointment.
For more information or to apply, please review the U.S. Service Academy Nomination Application. My office is now accepting applications, completed application packets must be received in my district office by Friday, October 11, 2024.
Best wishes to you as you pursue your goal of attending one of the U.S. Service Academies and serving our country.
