Washington, DC – Congressman Frank Lucas (OK-03) released the following statement after the U.S. House of Representatives passed the FY24 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). Lucas voted in favor of the legislation.

“Today, the House continued its 63-year tradition of passing a bipartisan agreement to fulfill one of Congress’s most important duties: supporting America’s service men and women and strengthening our national security.

“The National Defense Authorization Act bolsters military preparedness and provides needed assistance to military families, all while reining in wasteful spending. The NDAA delivers on our commitment to counter China’s malign influence and increase service member pay.

“Our military serves as the foundation of American freedom. I applaud House Armed Services Committee Chairman Mike Rogers for his tireless efforts in passing this critical legislation.”

A summary of the bill can be viewed here.
