Lucas Welcomes New Press Secretary

Washington, DCU.S. Congressman Frank Lucas welcomes Kate Thompson as the new communications director for his congressional office. She began at the end of October and will be working out of the Washington, DC office.

"I am excited to welcome Kate on board," Lucas stated. "Kate’s experience and background will make her a strong addition to our team and an asset to our staff and to the constituents of Oklahoma’s Third Congressional District."

Before joining Congressman Lucas’ office, Thompson worked as the communications coordinator to U.S. Congressman Louie Gohmert of Texas and has served on Capitol Hill for over three years. She graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication. She is the daughter of Richard Thompson and Karen and Stephen Austin of Houston, TX.
