Lucas Welcomes Altus Chamber of Commerce to Washington

Washington, DC – Congressman Frank Lucas (OK-03) met with members of the Altus Chamber of Commerce this week in Washington.

“I enjoyed meeting with members of the Altus Chamber of Commerce this week,” said Congressman Lucas. “We had a great conversation about community projects and the strong partnership the Altus Chamber of Commerce continues to foster with Altus Air Force Base. I especially enjoyed attending the 61st Altus Quail Breakfast, which supports the mission of the United States Air Force and the 97th Air Mobility Wing.

“Altus Air Force Base goes above and beyond training Airmen and women for their next mission. Oklahoma’s military bases play a crucial role in our nation’s readiness and Altus Air Force Base’s role in maintaining the C-17, the KC-135 and the KC-46 continues to exceed expectations,” Lucas continued. “I look forward to continuing to support the 97th Air Mobility Wing and the Altus Chamber of Commerce and the community leaders that make Altus and Southwest Oklahoma a great place to live.”

“Altus leaders are proud to be in our nation’s capitol to continue the 61-year legacy of the Altus Quail Breakfast. We are honored to work side by side with Congressman Lucas and his staff year-round to support the mission, Airmen, and families of Altus Air Force Base,” said Dr. Joe Leverett, Chairman of the Altus Military Affairs Committee. “Congressman Lucas is an unwavering partner who always keeps our community and our base front of mind. This year’s Quail Breakfast event has been an incredible success, and we excited about the important conversations and important progress”.
