Washington, D.C. – During today’s House Agriculture Committee’s organizational meeting, Congressman Frank Lucas (OK-03) was named the chair of the Subcommittee on Conservation, Research, and Biotechnology. He will also serve on the Subcommittee on Commodity Markets, Digital Assets, and Rural Development. He is the most senior Republican on the committee.
Congressman Lucas released the following quote after receiving his committee assignments:
“I was raised by people who understood the importance of conservation, research, and innovation in American Agriculture. I have spent the entirety of my career in Congress focusing on these issues in an attempt to follow the legacy of the great Oklahoma conservationists who came before me. That’s why I am excited to work alongside Chairman GT Thompson and my colleagues on the Agriculture Committee to provide solutions that will benefit landowners not only in Oklahoma but in every corner of the nation.”
