Cheyenne, OK – Congressman Frank Lucas (OK-03) released the following statement after the passing of friend and former Congressman Bill Brewster, who represented Oklahoma’s then Third Congressional District from 1991- 1997:

“I’m saddened to learn of the passing of my friend and former colleague, Bill Brewster. I had the distinct privilege of serving with Bill in both the Oklahoma House of Representatives and the United States House of Representatives, and in both chambers Bill served with unwavering devotion to Oklahoma.

“Bill lived life with an immeasurable amount of passion and always strived to do better for his community and those he cherished. Throughout out working together in Congress, I could always look to Bill’s principled characteristics and leadership even though we represented different parties in Congress. No one represented Oklahoma as a finer statesman than Bill Brewster.

“While Oklahoma and those who served with Bill have lost a tremendous friend, I pray for Suzie and his family as they’ve lost a loving husband, father, and grandfather. I will miss our jovial conversations, my friend.”
