Washington, D.C. – Congressman Frank Lucas (OK-03) gives reaction immediately following President Donald Trump’s State of the Union Address:

“Tonight’s State of the Union address was classic Donald Trump. Focused straight into the issues that matter to the American folks back home, addressing the things that he has accomplished and where he hopes to go.

The biggest thing perhaps, was whether you want to call it the comeback of America, the blue-collar boom, the way the national economy has progressed– thanks to things like U.S.M.C.A., thanks to the negotiations that he’s concluded in this first phase with the Chinese.

But it wasn’t just about trade. When he talked about surprise billing, healthcare issues that need to be addressed in the coming year, when he touched on a variety of other things- infrastructure.

Bottom line is this: it was classic President Trump. And now we need to go to work.”
