ENID — Congress will be asked to approve a new Base Realignment and Closure round under the proposed 2013 defense budget outlined Thursday by Defense Secretary Leon Panetta.
WASHINGTON—The House Agriculture Committee is considering subpoenaing Jon Corzine, the former chief executive of failed broker-dealer MF Global Holdings Ltd., to compel him to testify at a Dec. 8 hearing before the panel, people familiar with the meeting said.
ENID — Should the congressional supercommittee racing to reach a deficit-cutting agreement before Thanksgiving wind up laying an egg, the Department of Defense could face nearly $500 billion in budget cuts over the next decade.

Lucas submitted the request to EPA nearly six months ago; he followed up with a letter on Thursday.
