Obamacare and Gun Control: Main Concerns at Recent Town Hall Meetings

During the most recent district work period, I hosted town hall meetings in Canadian, Creek and Lincoln counties. I enjoyed visiting with constituents at these meetings and gaining knowledge on their interests. As I went from one community to another, constituents voiced concerns on an array of different topics ranging from the U.S. budget deficit to local issues, however; there were two overarching topics that seemed to be of particular interest – Obamacare and gun control.

Application Process Begins for United States Service Academies

Washington D.C. Internship Opportunities

I am currently urging all college-aged students in Oklahoma’s Third Congressional District to apply for the spring 2013 internship in my Washington, D.C. office. I believe internships are a great way for students to learn how to be successful when they step out of school and begin a full-time job. In the past, I have had many bright students intern in my office, and I look forward to having more in the future.

Washington D.C. Internship Opportunities

I know many college students are either required or encouraged to do an internship at some point during their undergraduate study. I believe internships are a great way for students to learn how to step out of school and be successful in a full-time working environment. Be All That You Can Be: Apply for One of Our Nation's Service Academies

During the month of August, thousands of students will pile into their cars and begin a new life at an institute of higher education.  Some will travel out of state, and some will stay here in Oklahoma.  And a select few will the opportunity to not only get a first-rate education, but to also serve their country by attending one of our nation’s service academies.
