Current college students have the opportunity to intern in Washington, D.C. during the fall, spring, and summer semesters. Internships are merit-based, with a heavy emphasis placed on grade point average and extracurricular activities. This is a great opportunity for any college student to gain college credit (if available at your current institution) and learn about the legislative process.
The application deadline for the 2013 summer session is Friday, March 29, 2013. The internship will run from May 2013 until the end of the student’s summer semester. Students from Oklahoma’s Third Congressional District who are available Monday through Friday during their summer 2013 semester are preferred. To apply, please complete the internship application found at, http://lucas.house.gov/internshipform, and email two letters of recommendation to email@example.com. If you have further questions, please contact Brad Morris in my Washington D.C. office at (202) 225-5565.
